Feed the Kiddos Iniative Chicago
Feed the Kiddos Chi began as an initiative dedicated to providing a haven for children, offering moments of joy and mental relief from the constant noise of the news, senseless violence, and the numerous disparities within the Chicago South and West side communities through delicious, healthy and colorful accessible meals.

Feed the Kiddos Initiative Chi built it’s foundation on highlighting community resources, collaborating with mutual aid collectives, organizing volunteers to prepare meals in abundance with the goal of spreading this access to children in the community/students and their families across Chicago’s south, west, and east side.
Receiving many gracious donations and the support of our amazingly beautiful volunteers, we were able to offer nutritious meals when Chicago Public Schools closed food distribution centers in schools during COVID pandemic. With the support received during the pandemic Feed the Kiddos Chi prepared over 2500 meals and is dedicated to sustaining this impactful effort. Although CPS almost immediately resumed meal distribution, Chef Chanell remains committed to serving our communities' students, using food as a means for mental health checks for children.
What started as a community effort has evolved into Feed the Kiddos Initiative, a nonprofit rooted in Chicago’s youth and community.
Donations for groceries and supplies are crucial in extending this foundation, ensuring a constant resource for the children in our city. Your support will enable us to expand initiatives like Feed the Kiddos across Chicago, making a lasting impact on young lives.
