When I was younger, I was such a picky eater and til this day, I'm grateful for it. Being picky as a child gave me the opportunity to really be present as an adult when choosing and trying new food. I'm so in love with sampling food, tapas style dining, and always open to trying something new.
One of my favorite things to do while traveling is finding the best restaurants and trying several things on the menu. I love to indulge in the flavors of a new city through their food. It helps me learn more about that place, the people, culture, and the space I'm in. I love seeing how chefs and naturally great cooks curate menus and recipes and bring flavors together that I would have never even thought of. This helps me to grow as a chef and is one of the best learning tools I can invest my time in.
There's something so special to me about going to a new restaurant, loving the environment, the people and taking my time to read the menu. You would think that I'm reading a new book, how thorough I am with this! I love to ask my serving staff trillions of questions about menu items, their favorites and I get so excited when the staff knows the menu very well and gives amazing suggestions.
Outside of me truly enjoying food, I’m so obsessed with watching, seeing, hearing other people enjoy something so delicious. Whether the food was prepared by me, a suggestion I made, something I am trying and want to share, I just adore the vibrations of genuinely good and desirable food. I will watch someone take one bite and before swallowing, I’m already in your space asking, how is it?!
I’m obsessed with making something out of nothing.. that’s been my life! I have a passion for creating something so good out of ingredients we wouldn’t normally indulge without question, like the vegan nachos I have pictured above in this post! Magical okay?!
I'm looking forward to utilizing this blog space to share write ups on different restaurants I try and how food can enhance different aspects of our lives. If you are a person who reads reviews before going to eat, this space is for you! I am that person who will read 973,387 reviews before picking my top 3 places I want to try, then comes the agony of narrowing down my list to 1.
